Hi all!

I'm starting the babysteps tomorrow, but just wanted to post a short intro. A little bit about me: married, no kids, self-employed.
I've been following (actually I should say reading) FlyLady a long time, but I always burned out after about 5 minutes... I don't think I ever got past the first babystep. I know some "accountability" will motivate me, so here I am. Feel free to nag me, I'll need it.

Be back tomorrow with my Beginner Babystep 'Day 1' report. smile.gif

PLEASE HELP ME! There are 2 Flylady toolbars. I got an e-mail that spoke about both of them, but only explained how to get the "Benefit" Bar. I NEED THEM BOTH! The second one has a part that the words keep moving, can't remember what it is called. I've looked every where on the site, even sent a message to find it - NO LUCK! Please, help me find this 2nd TOOL BAR! I am praying for all of us as we start to Fly! Also, how do you get to Twitter & other places that are Flylady?
Thank you, Mary Anne

I have no idea what happened, but I had problems with my original login and email address, made a new account (Jenie2). logged in, and now my old and new accounts are linked up. Strange. huh.gif

Anyway, I didn't accomplish my babysteps. Life got weird and crazy and my attempts failed. But I'm back! I'm going to try this again.

Day 1

Completed Day 1! Did my backlog of dishes while listening to a FlyLady podcast and shined my sink. I'm all ready to move on to Day 2 tomorrow.

Day 2 is complete for the most part. I have to be honest...I'm not going to do the shoe thing. I fixed my hair and face and got dressed to my socks. Maybe that makes me a FlyLady cheater. unsure.gif

The important part is that I'm developing routines and getting my home in order!
Sink is empty and shining away, so I'll mark that as done too.

Welcome Jenie, I actually started last week! I am shiney sink obsessed and hoping not to slack off. We can do this together!

I don't put on shoes in the house either. I walk in 'house shoes' which are just thongs really. I guess as long was we're out of our pjs, we're on it.

welcome back Jenie

And welcome Jodie.

I don't wear shoes either. I prefer my apron to make me feel like house work..even though DM laughed at me....mumble, grumble....

the shoes are just a reminder that you are ready to do your chores. My apron is that reminder for me! You need to find yours, be it shoes or something else.

Hi Jenie. I cheat on the shoes too. Shiny sinks are great, aren't they? We can definitely do this!

Thanks to MaryinAZ, Raykro, and Jilly101 for replying to my initial post way back.

Jodievt, the shoe thing is the only thing in the babysteps that I'm going to "adjust". It just doesn't work for me. smile.gif

Sharra n'ha Thrya, thanks for the welcome.

dreamin, yes they are great. It was so nice to not wake up to a sink full of dishes!

I completed Day 3 yesterday and also went through a good chunk of my paper mountain. I have no idea where it all came from, but it feels good to get it sorted and filed. I'll do more later on tonight. Going to grab lunch right now, I'll check back in later to report my Day 4.
